The Cure Of Exchange For Anna And Myself - 868 Words
They did as I ordered and held back, many now turning their attention to Lyle in search for their next move. ââ¬Å"Hereââ¬â¢s the deal,â⬠I told them now feeling I had the upper hand. ââ¬Å"The cure in exchange for Anna and myself. Thereââ¬â¢s enough here for your people to be able to reverse engineer it and replicate it. You donââ¬â¢t need us any longer.â⬠ââ¬Å"Alright, Peter, we accept,â⬠Lyle reluctantly agreed. ââ¬Å"What, no, we donââ¬â¢t accept,â⬠Kim sneered. ââ¬Å"We take what we want and weââ¬â¢re taking the damn cure. Then, weââ¬â¢re taking him. And, weââ¬â¢re taking Anna.â⬠ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢ll drop it, I swear,â⬠I told her as I held the vile out precariously between my index finger and thumb. ââ¬Å"You drop it and we still kill Anna while you watch and then we take you,â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬Å"Two,â⬠I said. ââ¬Å"Heââ¬â¢s bluffing,â⬠snipped Kim. ââ¬Å"Am I,â⬠I responded to her, my tone dead serious. ââ¬Å"Alright, alright!â⬠Lyle shouted. ââ¬Å"Peter, you win. Someone get Anna down and out of those chains.â⬠ââ¬Å"Butââ¬â,â⬠Kim began. ââ¬Å"But, nothing,â⬠Lyle said cutting her off. ââ¬Å"Do as I say.â⬠Several of the Alliance members began working to free Anna, and I watched as she slowly inched her way closer to the ground. Once back on the Shedââ¬â¢s cement floor, a man and a woman worked to remove her from her iron imprisonment. ââ¬Å"Alright, now sheââ¬â¢s free. Give us the cure,â⬠Lyle demanded. ââ¬Å"Not until sheââ¬â¢s safely with me,â⬠I told him. ââ¬Å"But, hereââ¬â¢s what I will do. Iââ¬â¢ll place the cure here on the ground and then Iââ¬â¢ll back away from it. The closer Anna gets to me, the further I move away and the sooner, itââ¬â¢s all yours. If you or any of your goons rush us, I begin firing at you or maybe I begin firing at the cure. Do you think Iââ¬â¢m a good enough shot to hit it? Try me and find out.â⬠ââ¬Å"Fine,â⬠Lyle agreed. ââ¬Å"Get her out of those chains already,â⬠he ordered. Once free of the gag, Anna called out to me in that feisty, spirited charm of hers, ââ¬Å"Peter, just shoot these mother fuckers!â⬠she screamed. She then filled her lungs so she could speak again. ââ¬Å"Put one right between that bitchââ¬â¢s eyes,â⬠she said referring to Kim. ââ¬Å"I should have bashed your head in like a pià ±ata when I had the chance!â⬠Kim erupted as she responded to Annaââ¬â¢s threat.Show MoreRelatedImpooving Employee Performance72019 Words à |à 289 Pageshelp solve this common problem.
